New embroidery went up in the shop today! I find that the less I labor over the hand-lettering, the better it comes out. I really like this one because I used a variety of different basic stitches as well as different strand amounts for each grouping of words. Plus the quote is a great one from Mindy Kaling's book, "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?", which I highly recommend.
I also finished up a made-to-order piece... it turned out as good as the original I think, with some tiny/accidental tweaks. It's comforting to know I'm capable of replicating pieces. That's why I try to work off of a design I've made in Photoshop and printed out, or one I've hand-drawn on the fabric then made a scan of the finished product. That way I have my original intent and ideas right there if I ever need to refer back.
This one will get shipped out this week, as soon as I snag some more shipping boxes from Office Depot...
